Despite all these fantasies, an old thought rings in our ears:
“You have to be born with it.”
You’ve probably, haven’t you, thought that all your life that you can’t learn to have that type of charismatic presence, can’t become a masterful communicator with that type of truly hypnotic power over companions, whether intimates or strangers.
But, let’s look at this a bit more. Certainly, we know that some people really are born with that ability, and others are not.
Yes, this is so, but the skills they possess are still something that one can learn.
There are many things you could not do at one point that you can do now, and some of them might even be skills that others had innately.
I’ll offer an example from my own life.
I’m severely dyslexic, and had a severe amount of trouble with even the most simple examples of dexterity.
Yet, today, I am an accomplished ballroom dancer, having won championships and performed on stage.
Absolutely most people are born with a keen ability to move, to notice what is right and what is left, and how to control the placement of this limb or that, but for me these were truly learnt.
I actually had to spend time in physical therapy during my early teen years in order to learn to be less of a “spaz”. Today, I can do double turns.
Even better, because I had to learn these movements consciously, I am actually more attuned to many of the physical movements, the specific muscles required to do this, or just how far a knee needs to bend in order to make that movement.
By learning this consciously, I’ve actually gained a level of control that has led me to succeed faster than most people, and gives me understandings that most folks don’t develop for a long while.

Even you can learn how to be a truly hypnotic speaker.
The skills we are talking about, the skills of conversational hypnosis are something that you might have heard about earlier.
These skills go by many names, whether it’s NLP, covert hypnosis, conversational hypnosis, or many of the other myriad terms you might have run across.
At heart, the basics are all the same, and most people really will teach you the same old material.
Generally, for example, you’ll learn skills for creating rapport, that magical state of connection, so that whoever you are speaking with just find themselves feeling profoundly close to you, as if you have been friends for years, despite having only just met.
